FH Web Encryption (TCP Transport)

Selecting TCP Transport

TCP transport is enabled by default. The only encryption algorithm available is 56bit DES.

To enable encryption:

  1. Log in locally to the FH Web server
  2. Open the FH Web Edition Connection Manager
  3. Select Tools > Server Options
  4. Select the Security tab
  5. For ‘Transport:’ esnure TCP is selected
  6. For ‘Port:’ enter 491 (unless FH Web server is specially configured to run on another port)
  7. For ‘Encryption:’ select 56-bit DES. 
  8. Restart the FH Web Applicaton Publisher Servce.
